Principal's Update

Mrs. Kazin:
Mrs. Brenda Kazin
Principal's Desk

Welcome to the 2004-2005 school year. It is a pleasure to compose this first letter as a new school year begins. The Fallis Staff is always focused on the real and true rewards of teaching, helping our students learn, discover and grow. This has been evidenced by our growth on CSAP, the Colorado Assessments of our third and fifth graders. Please see our School Accountability Report for data showing this growth.

Our collaboration with you as shareholders in your child's development continues to be the primary goal of the teachers and the administration. Parent involvement begins with the administrator listening and dialoging with you. This can be achieved through telephone conversations, individual meetings, or through our CSC ( Collaborative School Committee).

Each monthly newsletter contains numerous informational and calendar items. We urge you to review the materials for reference and communication. Along with the newsletter, notes and flyers will be sent home from both the school and individual teachers. Strong student growth requires parent, teacher, student and administrator partnership. Members of the school community must meet regularly to communicate and re-examine their goals in order to keep programs focused on a shared vision. School newletters are effective communication tools, but personal contact and invitations to visit school activities, and educational programs provide a school environment where children excel in reading. We have teachers, papaprofessionals, secretaries, food services and custodial staff who all need your support.

Thanks

May Message

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members,

We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for all the assistance, involvement and support you have demonstrated throughout the school year. We have had an exciting and busy year, and we are very proud of the growth and accomplishments of your children.

The year passed so fast and now it's time to start thinking about summer activities. Teachers will be attending classes, conferences, preparing for the next school year and, of course, some vacation time. Your children should obtain a library card and continue to read for enjoyment, be challenged at the dinner table with math facts, geography questions, discussions that initiate curiosity and lots of play.

Thanks again for making this a very special year!

Respectfully,
Brenda Kazin
Principal
